Downsizing as we get older and what to do with good used furniture.

As we get to our twilight years there is not as much of need to keep a larger home with lots of furniture. With older children and older grand kids doing their own things, Grandma and Grandpa may want to move to a smaller home or to a retirement community with condo's or apartments. These are smaller easier living accommodations and sometimes furnished.

The next issue is what to do with the current furniture? The children and grandchildren have what they need but Grandma and Grandpa's furniture is still in great shape and gently used. If the furniture is in good shape and can be sold, a great solution is to get it into a Furniture Consignment Store and try and make some money on these pieces.
Usually a  Furniture Consignment Store setting will bring better buyers willing to pay a better price than Ebay or Craigslist. Those online customers want to haggle a lower price and sometimes can be people you don't want in your home. :-(
